The Municipality of Benavente has acquired a new vehicle to enhance the selective collection of biowaste, with an investment of 105 thousand euros, funded by the RecolhaBio Program.

The new truck will enable the collection and routing of organic waste, contributing to increased valorization and the promotion of more sustainable practices in the municipality. The separation of biowaste, such as food scraps and green waste, allows these materials to be transformed into nutrient-rich organic compost through composting, which can be used in agriculture and for improving soil quality.
With this investment, the Municipality of Benavente reinforces its commitment to the circular economy, reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill, and more efficient use of natural resources.

Together, we will keep our land clean.
