The initiative, part of the municipal Pink October program, aims to create a space for information and dialogue about breast cancer, bringing the public closer to health professionals and promoting literacy on the disease. The session will cover prevention, diagnosis, clinical, psychological, social, and rehabilitation support.
Moderation will be led by Dr. Marta Novais Silva (Oncology Service) and Dr. Ana Garrido (General and Family Medicine). Also participating are Dr. Vânia Castro (Breast Clinic), Dr. Sara Barros (Psychology Service), Dr. Marta Pereira (General and Family Medicine), Tech. Manuela Sousa (Physiotherapy Service), Nurse Cátia Lopes (Breast Clinic), and Dr. Edite Estrela (Social Service Technician).
The President of the Trofa Municipal Council, Sérgio Araújo, highlighted the importance of bringing health professionals closer to the population so they can make more informed decisions and understand the significance of prevention and early diagnosis.

The session is open to the general public and is the first initiative of the Pink October program promoted by the Municipality of Trofa.
