The initiative, held at Casa do Alentejo, was part of the PROVERE + Serra d’Ossa “Natural Resources and Ecosystem” project. The meeting brought together the six partner municipalities – Alandroal, Borba, Estremoz, Redondo, Sousel, and Vila Viçosa – with the aim of showcasing their products, knowledge, traditions, and potential.
Sousel was represented by Herdade Serra e Serrinha, with its olive oils, and by artisan Jorge Carujo, with D’Aldeia crafts. The municipality also took the opportunity to promote the county as a tourist destination by distributing promotional materials.
The event featured cultural entertainment by the Cantadeiras do Redondo and a debate on the potential of the Serra d’Ossa and the Estremoz Calcareous Massif.
The Municipality's presence was also marked by greetings from Manuel Verdugo, President of Casa do Alentejo and a native of Sousel, who has closely followed the initiatives of this institution, located in the historic Palácio de Alverca.
This joint participation aimed to showcase the identity, resources, and discoveries that each territory has to share.
