The Association of Parachutists of the Municipality of Sousel, formally constituted on September 29, 2026, celebrated the start of its activity with a get-together lunch held on October 3rd. This meeting marked the official commencement of its functions as an association.
During the event, a ceremony took place at the Monument to the Overseas Combatants. At this moment, tributes were paid in memory of all those who served the Homeland.
The President of the Junta de Freguesia of Cano, at the invitation of the Association, was present at the ceremony. As a sign of respect and tribute, he laid a wreath at the monument.
The Junta de Freguesia of Cano thanked the invitation and congratulated the Association of Parachutists of the Municipality of Sousel on its establishment. The junta wished the association success, a long journey, and prosperity in serving the union and camaraderie among its members.
