The Municipality of Nisa marked World Food Day, celebrated today, October 16th, with an awareness event about the BioNisa program at the Nisa School Center.

As part of World Food Day, the Vice-President of the Nisa Municipal Chamber, Dr. José Leandro Semedo, participated in a session dedicated to the BioNisa Program. The initiative aimed to introduce this Selective Biowaste Collection Program of the Municipality of Nisa.
The objective was to raise awareness among young people about the importance of proper separation of organic waste, such as food scraps, and the adoption of more sustainable daily behaviors.
The BioNisa program offers participating citizens a free composter or a dedicated bin for biowaste, promoting the valorization of this waste and more responsible resource management.

Because caring for the environment also starts at the table!
