The Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Monforte (AHBVM) has bolstered its resources with the arrival of a new Forest Firefighting Vehicle (VFCI), acquired with municipal support.

The new Forest Firefighting Vehicle (VFCI) has now joined the fleet of the Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Monforte (AHBVM). The vehicle was delivered to the corps on September 18th, its acquisition being the result of an approved application with funding from the Municipality of Monforte, which contributed over 50 thousand euros for the national counterpart.
The vehicle's public debut took place on September 27th in Praça da República, Monforte. The event, titled “Day of Associations” and organized by the Municipality, served as the stage for the vehicle's unveiling, which was blessed by Father Alexandre de Medeiros, the parish priest of Monforte.
Several dignitaries attended the ceremony, including the President of the Municipal Chamber of Monforte, Miguel Rasquinho, and Vice-President Raquel Pereira, accompanied by Deputy Sérgio Martins and CLDS Coordinator Helena Correia. The President of the Municipal Assembly, Joaquim Gabriel Martins, was also present. Representing the AHBVM were the President of the Board, Maria Fonseca, Vice-President Rui Dinis, President of the General Assembly Mariana Gabriel, 2nd Commander of the Fire Brigade Gonçalo Godinho, and Commander of the Honor Roll Jorge Pereira, along with other representatives from the association's social bodies, firefighters, family members, and the general public.
