The handover ceremony took place in the Noble Hall of the Paços do Concelho, with the presence of the beneficiary families and councilwoman Teresa Simão. In March of this year, the first 18 "Baby Kits" had already been distributed to families in the municipality.
The "Baby Kit" includes a maternity bag and a card for the purchase of pediatric products and childcare equipment, up to a maximum amount of 1000 euros.
Children born in the municipality of Marvão, whose parents have resided in the municipality for over a year and until the child turns 3 years old, are eligible for this measure. Applications must be submitted using a specific form, in person at the municipal services or by email (geral@cm-marvao.pt), from the 7th month of pregnancy up to 90 days after birth. Children must have been born from 01/01/2024 onwards and be registered as natives of the parish councils within the municipality, residing with the applicant.
