The initiative, part of the Local and Community Development Plan, provided participants with a moment of socialising, leisure, and contact with a territory of high scenic and natural value. The aim was also to contribute to the promotion of social participation, well-being, and active ageing.
During the river tour, participants experienced moments of sharing, discovery, and closeness. These activities reinforce the importance of creating opportunities for interaction, valuing social relationships, and combating isolation among the senior population.
The Pontes de Saberes Project – Local and Community Development Plan is supported by Alentejo 2030, Portugal 2030, and the European Union.
