The session took place this Monday, October 19, at the Abílio Amiguinho auditorium of the School of Education and Social Sciences of Portalegre, organized by the Social Innovation Laboratory of Alto Alentejo (LISA). CIMAA was part of the round table “From Diagnosis to Action”, reflecting on its function to convene, articulate, and ensure continuity among the various regional actors and wills.
Maria Fonseca, Head of the Social Development, Education, and Tourism Division, emphasized CIMAA's advantage in being a neutral entity between municipalities and having the right scale for problems that transcend municipal borders. "Responses must also cross these boundaries. The Supramunicipal Platform is precisely one of the permanent spaces for joint meetings, planning, and decision-making," she stated.
The presented study aims to understand local needs, strengthen the social innovation and impact entrepreneurship ecosystem, enhance human capital, and combat challenges such as depopulation and demographic aging in the region.
CIMAA is a partner of LISA, an initiative that brings together strategic partners to create a sustainable social innovation ecosystem in Alto Alentejo, transforming challenges into opportunities through collaboration.
