The Feira das Mercês, one of the oldest Saloian fairs in the Lisbon region, is once again enlivening Sintra with its 16th edition, offering an experience rich in tradition, music, and flavors. The event, with free admission, runs from October 15th to 18th, and from October 23rd to 25th.
The fair brings together a wide range of crafts, local gastronomy, ethnographic entertainment, and activities designed for the whole family. In parallel, there will be live music performances to liven up the evenings.
On October 16th, the musical entertainment will be provided by Bélito Campos, followed by Sebastião Antunes and Quadrilha on the 17th. On the second weekend, the stage will host Toy on October 23rd and Kásio on October 24th, with both concerts starting at 10:00 PM.
The usual Ethnographic Exhibition, scheduled for October 24th, will feature the participation of several folklore groups, including the Grupo Folclórico de Belas, the Grupo Folclórico e Cultural da Rinchoa - Sintra, the Grupo Folclórico “Os Camponeses” de Dona Maria, the Rancho Folclórico “As Vendedeiras” Saloias de Sintra, and the Rancho Folclórico "As Lavadeiras" do Sabugo.
A religious moment in honor of the Patron Saint, Nossa Senhora das Mercês, includes a mass and procession starting at 4:00 PM on October 25th.
The Feira das Mercês is organized by the Câmara Municipal de Sintra, in partnership with the Juntas de Freguesia de Algueirão – Mem Martins and Rio de Mouro.
The fair's operating hours vary throughout the days: on October 16th and 23rd, the venue will be open from 5:00 PM to midnight; on October 17th and 24th, from 10:00 AM to midnight; on October 18th, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM; and on October 25th, from 10:00 AM to 9:30 PM.
