Valorsul has announced that its Urban Waste Treatment Plant, which handles incineration, will be closed for maintenance from October 2nd to October 31st. During this period, urban waste will be diverted to the Mato da Cruz Landfill, located in Vila Franca de Xira.
This temporary change may cause disruptions to the urban waste collection system within the operational areas of SIMAR (Intermunicipal Services for Water and Waste of Loures and Odivelas). SIMAR assures that all operational efforts are being made to minimize the impact on residents and requests public understanding.
