The initiative, a collaboration between nine Higher Education Institutions, brings together startups, investors, companies, and other players in the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, creating a meeting space for knowledge, talent, and business opportunities.
The program includes the performance Jeffthielmusk® with the collective ZABRA at 5:05 PM, exploring the relationships between technology, power, and society. This will be followed by a Pitch Competition at 6:00 PM, where startups from nine Higher Education Institutions will present their innovative projects.
From 6:45 PM, participants can discover the participating universities and their innovative projects in the Demo & Exhibition Area, followed by a Food, Drinks & Networking session to foster connections between academia and the innovation ecosystem.
The event concludes at 8:00 PM with the announcement of the Pitch Competition winner. The Next Big Idea is the event's media partner.
The University of Lisbon is present at the Web Summit, from November 10th to 12th, showcasing entrepreneurial projects from its Schools, reinforcing its recognition as a benchmark in academic entrepreneurship after winning 1st place in the 2025 Ranking of Entrepreneurial Universities in Portugal.
