Starting tomorrow, October 14th, and running until October 30th, the application period for the Christmas basket will be open, an initiative designed to support families in need. Applications can be submitted online or in person.
To apply, registered residents of Parque das Nações must complete a form and submit the necessary documentation detailing their economic hardship. All applications will be assessed by the social development unit of the Parque das Nações Parish Council (JFPN).
Access conditions include being registered in Parque das Nações and presenting a copy of the identification document for all household members, proof of household composition (IRS or SS), proof of address, a copy of the 2025 IRS or exemption declaration, proof of income for the previous month, and proof of expenses for the previous month (rent or mortgage, water, electricity, gas, medication, education or family support equipment). If daily medication for a chronic illness is required, a declaration from the pharmacy detailing the monthly cost must be provided.
Submitting an application does not automatically guarantee the right to receive a Christmas basket, as all applications will be reviewed by the JFPN social services.
In-person application locations are the JFPN Headquarters, at Alameda dos Oceanos, 37-B, or the western delegation at Rua Padre Joaquim Alves Correia, Lote 23.
