The Cinemateca Portuguesa premieres the "REBOBINAR" series, dedicated to domestic films about the 25th April Revolution, with 13 episodes to be broadcast on RTP Memória starting October 4th.

The new series "REBOBINAR" focuses on works received during the “Did you film the 25th April?” campaign, an initiative supported by the Commission for the Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the 25th April. The campaign aimed to collect amateur and domestic films about the Revolution nationwide, many of them previously unseen.
Each episode presents a film from the collection, re-edited and with added sound. The Cinemateca conducts ongoing work in prospecting and processing these types of materials, receiving numerous bequests beyond the specific campaign. Information on depositing and donating film materials can be found in the Cinemateca's archive.
The digitization of small-format films (8mm, super8, 9.5mm, 16mm) allows for wider access, both to the general public and the research community. The films presented on RTP will later be available on Cinemateca Digital in their original versions.
The episodes of "REBOBINAR" will be broadcast on Sundays at 9 PM on RTP Memória, before Cinema Clássico, starting October 4th.
