The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation has launched the Gulbenkian Merit Scholarships initiative, aimed at supporting students beginning their higher education journey who face financial limitations. The goal is to ensure that these young people's potential is not hindered by their economic circumstances.
Each scholarship is valued at €2,000 per academic year. Additionally, recipients receive a one-time support of €2,000 to fund a period of international mobility. This mobility component can be undertaken through the Erasmus+ program or equivalent programs offered by their respective higher education institutions.
Scholarship renewal is subject to meeting the conditions stipulated in the initiative's official regulations. Applications are exclusively online via the MyGulbenkian platform, with the submission deadline on October 30, 2026, at 3:00 PM.
