The Azambuja Swimming Pool Complex will host, on November 15, 2026, the first stage of the 3rd edition of the Lezíria + Tejo Quadrangular Swimming Tournament, gathering approximately 100 participants.

Five entities will be represented at the event: the Azambuja Municipal Swimming School, Alhandra Sporting Club (in both Pure Swimming and Adapted Swimming), the Benavente Sports Group Swimming School, and the Golegã Municipal Swimming School.
The sports program begins at 09:00 with the opening of the changing rooms, followed by warm-up and delegate meetings. The competitions kick off at 09:30, with the event scheduled to conclude at 12:30.
The tournament aims to provide swimming school students with a competitive, non-federated experience, promoting social interaction, participation, and inclusion through sport. It also seeks to reinforce a sense of belonging to their respective schools, team spirit, and create opportunities for participants to experience events organized by the different involved entities.
Inclusion plays a central role, valuing sport as a space for equal opportunities, sharing, and camaraderie. The stands will be open free of charge to the public, inviting family, friends, and the entire community to follow a Sunday morning dedicated to swimming, which aims to promote values such as respect and the enjoyment of physical activity.
