A weekend filled with art and culture marked the Municipality of Arruda dos Vinhos, featuring three special events focused on creativity, drawing, illustration, and the world of books.
On October 16th, the exhibition “Traço e Memória” by artist Dina Pereira was inaugurated, coinciding with the launch of the book “Almanaque do Pão”, authored by Sérgio Luís de Carvalho and published by Parsifal, represented by Marcelo Teixeira. These events were part of the Commemorations of the National Day of the Torres Lines and World Bread Day.
The following day, October 17th, the exhibition “Entretanto” by Casa Nic & Inês was inaugurated. This exhibition brings together drawings, illustrations, artist books, illustrated ceramics, and other objects, exploring the diversity of materials and techniques born from the intersection of image and book. The Municipality of Arruda dos Vinhos has regularly collaborated with Casa Nic & Inês through various workshops.
The cultural program concluded on October 18th with a workshop on Animated and Illustrated Books, led by Casa Nic & Inês. Participants were challenged to construct three books, exploring techniques and materials, demonstrating great enthusiasm and satisfaction with the final results.
These three distinct events shared the same purpose: to bring the public closer to the visual arts, stimulate creativity, and provide opportunities for discovery and learning, reinforcing the Municipality of Arruda dos Vinhos' commitment to promoting culture and valuing artists.
