The Municipality of Arruda dos Vinhos, with the presence of a technician from the National Laboratory of Civil Engineering (LNEC), presented to the population of Lapão the report prepared by this entity on the situation of housing and land. Lapão is one of the areas in the municipality most affected by the adverse weather that occurred at the beginning of the year.
This information session for the local community marks the first phase of a comprehensive work plan that the local authority is developing for the recovery and stabilization of the area. In parallel with the LNEC's conclusions, the Municipal Chamber is already preparing to conduct geotechnical studies on the ground.
The set of LNEC's opinions and future geotechnical studies will serve as an indispensable technical basis for grounding and guiding all future interventions to be carried out in Lapão.
