The initiative, sponsored by the Fundação Oriente, began on October 19th in the Internal Medicine IV service, where musicians provided well-being to patients with a viola repertoire. Sessions will take place on Mondays, every two weeks, initially covering four Internal Medicine departments.
The project foresees musical interventions throughout the year, with professional musician duos, covering approximately 180 beds and their respective clinical teams. APMHIS, with over 20 years of experience, is responsible for the execution, relying on professional musicians trained for the hospital environment.
Musicians perform for about two hours, without interfering with healthcare, bringing their instruments to offer musical moments to patients and staff. This partnership reinforces the Humanization Commission's commitment to creating a more welcoming hospital environment.
