The Marinha Grande Municipal Council has begun the renovation project for the António Campos Auditorium in Praia da Vieira, an investment of 1,198,487.35 euros (plus VAT) with a 15-month deadline.

The Municipality aims to provide Praia da Vieira with a renewed, functional, and versatile cultural space, capable of hosting various initiatives and boosting culture in the parish of Vieira de Leiria.
Awarded to the company SUZIFIL – Construções, Lda., the work will enhance the cultural offering and improve the usability of this municipal facility.
The project includes the creation of a multifunctional auditorium with 100 seats, a stage with a free base area, and spaces for performances, rehearsals, or temporary exhibitions.
A permanent exhibition area across two rooms, a ticket office with interior and exterior access, sanitary facilities, storage areas, and technical spaces organized around a central core are also planned.
Inside, new structural elements in wood will evoke the traditional houses of Praia da Vieira, reinforcing local identity.
The project also includes the improvement of the external square, enhancing the public space and the connection between the auditorium and its urban surroundings.
