The official presentation of the 2026 edition took place on October 31st, at Praça Rodrigues Lobo in Leiria. The event is considered one of the most emblematic linked to the history and identity of Marinha Grande, also serving as an important tool for tourism, economic, and territorial promotion.
Armando Constâncio, sports councilor of the Municipal Chamber of Marinha Grande, highlighted the historical and inseparable connection of the Rallye Vidreiro to the municipality, stating that "the Rallye Vidreiro has a historical and inseparable connection to Marinha Grande. It is a race that is part of the sporting identity of the municipality and which, over the years, has contributed very significantly to projecting our territory".
The councilor emphasized that the Municipality's continued support "translates the recognition of the sporting, economic, tourist, and promotional importance of this event." Constâncio added that the Rallye Vidreiro "attracts visitors, revitalizes the local economy, promotes Marinha Grande, and provides moments of great proximity between the public, teams, drivers, and involved entities".
Constâncio also praised the work of the Clube Automóvel da Marinha Grande, the event organizer, for its efforts that go beyond the competition, encompassing partnerships and territorial valorization. With 57 years of history, the club seeks to establish itself not only through organizing sporting events but also by promoting the region's economic, industrial, tourist, and social potential.
The 2026 edition once again unites the municipalities of Marinha Grande, Leiria, and Pombal, demonstrating the importance of inter-municipal cooperation for distinctive projects that generate value for the entire region.
