Railway traffic on the Linha do Oeste between Torres Vedras and Caldas da Rainha will resume on November 15, after recovery work.

The 41-kilometer section between Torres Vedras and Caldas da Rainha, closed since January 28 due to damage caused by storm Kristin, is ready to reopen. Infraestruturas de Portugal carried out slope stabilization, platform and track recovery, as well as the necessary technical and safety checks.
The Minister of Infrastructure and Housing, Miguel Pinto Luz, highlighted that "From roads to railways, the country is rebuilding. These are long works, but [...] we have managed to restore normality," emphasizing the commitment of the teams in recovering infrastructure affected by the storms.
This reopening follows a phased plan. The section between Louriçal and Figueira da Foz (24 km) reopened on February 23, and the link between Caldas da Rainha and Louriçal (86 km) was resumed on March 16.
