The Seia Municipal Market hosts the first edition of the initiative “Do quintal à praça” on November 7th, a new space for small local producers and subsistence farmers.

The initiative, promoted by the Municipality of Seia, aims to provide a direct-to-consumer sales space for 13 local producers. Available products will include vegetables, seasonal fruit, chestnuts, nuts, homemade eggs, honey and other apiary products, jams, infusions, spices, cakes, biscuits, and artisanal liqueurs.
The goal is to promote short marketing circuits, value local agricultural production, and boost the Municipal Market. The first edition will take place between 09:00 and 15:00.
For its debut, the Municipal Toy Library will organize activities for children between 10:00 and 12:30, with a program dedicated to the magusto tradition, including roasting chestnuts and creating related crafts.
The Agricultural Market “Do quintal à praça” will continue on the first Saturday of each month, in the morning, establishing a regular meeting point between producers and consumers.
