The Municipal Executive of Pinhel unanimously approved the maintenance of the minimum IMI tax rates for 2026, aiming to alleviate families.

The Pinhel Municipal Council met on November 5th to consider the proposal for setting the Municipal Property Tax (IMI) rate for 2026, to be collected in 2027. The proposal was unanimously approved.
The minimum rates of 0.3% for urban properties and 0.8% for rustic properties are maintained. This decision aims to provide relief to families regarding this tax.
The reduction under the Family IMI scheme also remains in effect, an automatic discount that varies with the number of dependents: 30 euros for families with one dependent, 70 euros for two, and 140 euros for three or more.
The proposal also includes a 30% increase for properties in an advanced state of disrepair or vacant, intended to encourage property owners to maintain their built heritage in good condition.
The proposal, approved in the Council meeting, will now be presented to the next Municipal Assembly meeting for consideration and voting.
