The Municipality of Mêda signed a protocol with the Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests (ICNF) for the transfer of a tractor. This machine is intended to strengthen the municipal capacity in carrying out fuel management operations and rural fire prevention.
The transfer of the machinery is part of the Mechanization Program for Fuel Management, a project funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).
The ceremony for the delivery of equipment and signing of protocols took place at 3:30 PM, in Praça Luís de Camões, in Guarda. The event was attended by several official figures, including the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, José Manuel Fernandes, the Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves, the Secretary of State for Forests, Rui Ladeira, the President of ICNF, Nuno Banza, and the Presidents of the beneficiary Municipalities.
