The Municipality of Gouveia, through its Municipal Civil Protection Service, is joining the national initiative A Terra Treme, promoted by the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection (ANEPC). The exercise will take place on November 5th at 11:05 AM, aiming to raise public awareness about seismic risk.

The exercise, lasting just 1 minute, aims to highlight the importance of knowing how to act during an earthquake by performing three simple actions: Drop to your knees to avoid falling, Cover your head and neck, preferably under a sturdy table, and Hold on protected until the shaking stops.
The initiative is aimed at the entire population, encouraging the participation of citizens, families, educational institutions, and public and private entities.
More information about the exercise and self-protection recommendations are available on the official website aterratreme.pt. Participation can be registered at the same address.
Prevention starts with each of us. Be prepared, know how to act!
