The Mayor, Carlos Condesso, and the Vice-President, Alfeu Nascimento, received the Austrian team at the Noble Hall of the Council Offices. The international handball tournament takes place from today, November 5th, to Saturday, November 7th.
The Mayor wished the young athletes and technical staff an excellent stay and great success in the competition. The final matches are scheduled for Saturday, starting at 3:00 PM, at the Sports Pavilion. Alongside Austria, the teams from Italy, Portugal, and Spain will compete.
This initiative is the result of a partnership between the Portuguese Handball Federation and the Municipalities of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, Almeida, Pinhel, and Mêda, aiming to strengthen institutional cooperation and promote the territories through international sports events.
