The Municipality of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo received yesterday the Autarchy of the Year award, in Lisbon, in the Ecology category, for the "ReVestir o Futuro" project.

The Municipality of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo was awarded the Autarchy of the Year prize, at a ceremony held at the Belém Cultural Center, in Lisbon. The distinction, promoted by ECO with the support of the Mosqueteiros Group, recognized the municipal project “ReVestir o Futuro”.
The Municipal Councilor, Lígia Teixeira Lopes, accompanied by the Chief of Staff to the President, Nádia Quadrado, received the award. The winning project is an environmental awareness initiative promoted by the Municipality, through CLDS 5G Figueira Inclusiva, which aims to raise young people's awareness about the importance of resource reuse and the adoption of more sustainable consumption practices.
This event, now in its seventh edition, aims to distinguish and value the best practices and differentiating strategies of municipalities and parishes in various areas.
