The meeting of the Municipal Education Council took place this afternoon in the Noble Hall of the Paços do Concelho, in Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo. Presided over by Carlos Condesso, Mayor, the session brought together the various entities responsible for analyzing and monitoring the functioning of the educational system and ensuring the promotion of better efficiency standards.
According to the agenda, a review of the previous school year was conducted, highlighting the school support measures and investment in pedagogical infrastructure carried out by the Municipality. Among the implemented initiatives, the introduction of the electronic card at the School Grouping and the creation of a new library for the 1st Cycle of Basic Education (CEB) were emphasized.
For the new school year, in addition to social support and modernization works of the school facilities, the municipality's investment in the Virtual School offering for students in the 3rd CEB and Secondary Education was highlighted. This measure reaffirms the commitment to equal opportunities and the promotion of educational success in the municipality.
