The Municipal Traffic Commission of São Brás de Alportel analyzed 18 proposals and situations related to road traffic, parking, and signage in the municipality. Several measures were defined with the aim of reinforcing the safety of all public road users.
Situations identified in Mesquita Alta, the Historic Center, Corotelo, and Campina, among other locations, were addressed. Interventions were proposed regarding signage, traffic directions, parking, and intersection safety.
One of the analyzed issues was traffic on the VR28, in Almargens, where a section was proposed to be made one-way (south-north) with the corresponding signage.
On Rua Jaime Passos Pinto, near the Caravan Park, the installation of a mirror to improve visibility for vehicle exits and danger signage was considered, along with a speed limit of 30 km/h.
In the Historic Center and on Rua Gago Coutinho, the Commission confirmed traffic management solutions including changes to traffic directions and the installation of signage indicating the Municipal Hall and the Historic Center.
The meeting also included the analysis of issues related to improper parking and vehicle circulation, including the need to reinforce signage in certain locations and ensure better pedestrian circulation conditions.
The proposals result from requests submitted by residents, information from municipal services, and site visits by the Commission, seeking to adapt measures to the specific characteristics of each situation.
The Municipal Traffic Commission is composed of municipal representatives, representatives of parties with seats in the Municipal Assembly, and entities linked to road safety.
