The auditorium of the Lagos Municipal Chamber hosted, last Friday, the public presentation of three books authored by Jack Soifer that address “THE FUTURE OF THE ALGARVE” and topics such as entrepreneurship and business dynamics. The event featured interventions from several entrepreneurs, who shared their stories and experiences across various sectors. The initiative also garnered the interest of Dom Duarte Pio, Duke of Bragança, who made a point of attending and offering words of support to both the author, whose teachings he considers highly useful for Portugal, and the municipality of Lagos, recognizing the council's demonstrated ability to preserve historical identity and value cultural heritage while fostering progress.
Also present at this session were André Gomes, president of the Algarve Tourism Region, and the host, the Mayor, Hugo Pereira. Both praised the author for being “someone who has fought for the Algarve and dared to think outside the box”. Jack Soifer himself declared himself “a passionate admirer of Portugal, the Algarve, and particularly Barlavento, which is the eden, the paradise within paradise”.
