Docapesca has inaugurated new infrastructure at the Lagos Fishing Port, including 30 warehouses and floating docks with capacity for 55 vessels, aimed at improving working conditions.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Secretary of State for Fisheries and the Sea, Salvador Malheiro. The new facilities have been equipped with electricity and water, representing a significant advancement for the local fishing community.
These infrastructures are the result of the counter-obligations from the concession contract signed in 2023 between Docapesca and Marlagos, concerning the expansion of the Marina de Lagos.
In parallel, the rehabilitation of the Lagos fish market is underway, with an investment of approximately 750 thousand euros. The goal is to obtain certification under the ISO 22000 standard, reinforcing food safety and quality standards.
Docapesca reaffirms its commitment to modernizing port infrastructure and enhancing the fishing activity in Portugal.
