The cultural calendar begins on October 1st with the exhibition Patronos das Bibliotecas, an initiative by BIBAL that will be on display throughout the month. On the same day at 6:00 PM, the venue marks the International Day of Older Persons with the storytelling session Livros que Nunca Acabam.
The literary and cinematic offerings are highlighted by the Reading Club, scheduled for the 8th, and the O Filme Francês do Mês cycle, which presents the film Le dernier des juifs on the 9th at 9:00 PM, in partnership with the Alliance Française – Algarve and the Cineclube de Faro.
The wellness and learning section includes the Conversas com Saúde cycle, with sessions on menopause and stress management on the 14th and 21st, respectively. Additionally, the library is promoting creative sewing and macramé workshops, as well as creative writing sessions throughout the month.
The program concludes on October 31st with the presentation of the 48th volume of the Anais do Município de Faro and the Sábados em Famílias initiative, which combines storytelling with Halloween-themed activities for parents and children.
