The initiative, titled “New Pedagogical Model: Information Sessions for Students”, is aimed at the entire student community, with particular attention to those beginning their academic journey in bachelor's degree programs. The goal is to facilitate integration and address questions about the characteristics of UAb's new teaching model.
The sessions, featuring identical content, will be held online and organized by different CLA groups. Participants can choose the date that best suits their availability. Access will be granted via a link sent by email to registered students.
The session on September 30th is organized by the CLAs of Reguengos de Monsaraz, Grândola, Madalena, Madeira, Montijo, Ponte de Lima, Porto de Mós, Praia da Vitória, and Silves. It will feature Professor Doctor José Sales, Vice-Rector for Teaching and Academic Affairs, who will present the New Pedagogical Model and answer questions.
The session on October 1st is promoted by the CLAs of Abrantes, Ansião, Cantanhede, Mêda, Peso da Régua, Ribeira Grande, Sabugal, and São João da Madeira. The speaker will be Professor Doctor Diogo Casa Nova, Vice-Rector for Innovation, Quality, and Digital Transformation.
These sessions offer an opportunity to learn about the future of learning at UAb, reflecting the consolidation of Distance and Digital Education and adapting to current technological, social, and educational contexts. The model integrates innovative approaches to teaching, learning, and assessment, promoting more flexible, inclusive, and student-centered learning experiences.
Notably, it incorporates new tools and methodologies associated with Artificial Intelligence, enhancing the University's capacity to meet contemporary higher education challenges. Registration is mandatory and must be completed using the student's institutional email address from UAb, via the respective registration forms.
