The XV Meeting of Popular Poets of the Municipality of Mora took place on Saturday, October 24th, in Pavia, gathering poetry enthusiasts and local poets.

The event, held at the Grupo Musical Paviense, was revived by the current Municipal Executive, who considered it important to bring back this tradition to give voice to local creators and value intangible cultural heritage.
Participants in the meeting included Aníbal Lopes, Antónia Rodrigues, António Luís Carlos, António Nunes, Hélder Salgueiro, Joaquim Martinho, José Salgueiro, Josélia Couvinha, and Luís Lino, who recited poems of their own authorship.
Poetry, over generations, has played a crucial role in preserving memories, transmitting knowledge, and sharing feelings, being an intrinsic element of communities' cultural identity. The revival of this meeting aims not only to give a platform to the municipality's poets but also to safeguard and promote an intangible heritage essential for future generations.
The XV Meeting of Popular Poets of the Municipality of Mora was part of the program for the Elderly Month commemorations, details of which can be found on the Mora Municipal Council website.
