Repairs to the Friendship Bridge in Mora, following damage caused by February's severe weather, are in the final stages of completion and are expected to conclude soon.

The intervention, representing an investment of approximately 117,000 euros, initially funded by the Municipal Council, includes the restoration of the road surface, repair of drainage ditches and safety barriers, as well as the correction of the bridge's blue railing alignment, all aimed at restoring circulation and safety conditions.
The work also incorporates measures to reduce damage during future floods. A concrete reinforcement is being installed along the road edges to prevent water from entering beneath the pavement, which can cause it to lift. In the areas where the bridge connects to the banks, stone placement will protect the structure's supports against erosion from water flow.
The removal of safety barrier elements that can accumulate branches, vegetation, and other debris is also planned, thereby facilitating water passage during flood events.
