With a maximum co-financing rate of 50% from the European Regional Development Fund, this call aligns with the objective of developing and strengthening R&D, innovation, and advanced technology adoption capabilities. The support aims to establish structured and permanent units dedicated exclusively to R&D activities within a business context, thereby reinforcing companies' internal capacities and the economic valorisation of knowledge.
Operations can be developed individually or in co-promotion, based on strategic short and medium-term partnerships and aligned with the priority domains of the Regional Smart Specialisation Strategy (RIS3). Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises, as well as Small Mid-Cap Enterprises, are eligible to apply. In co-promoted applications, partnerships between companies and/or with Non-Business Entities of the Research and Innovation System (ENESII) are also eligible.
Through this initiative, Alentejo 2030 intends to contribute to a more innovative, competitive, and knowledge-intensive regional economy, strengthening collaboration between companies and entities within the scientific and technological system, and promoting the territory's smart specialisation.
