The Pampilhosa da Serra Municipal Museum welcomed preschool children from the Casa da Criança in an initiative that took them on a journey to the past to discover a traditional object: the chestnut roaster, known locally as the 'bruxa'.
The activity, led by the Educational Service, allowed the children to learn about this old earthenware utensil, its characteristics, its use in domestic life in the past, and the story behind its peculiar name.
The session also included a playful-educational game, which provided a fun learning moment and allowed them to explore and relive traditions.
Through these types of initiatives, the Pampilhosa da Serra Municipal Museum continues to bring younger generations closer to cultural heritage, sparking curiosity and valuing the memories and knowledge of past generations.
