Music once again gave voice to the Pampilhosense identity, in a concert by the Musical Group Fraternidade Pampilhosense (GMFP), held last Friday, October 30, at the Municipal Auditorium of the Monsenhor Nunes Pereira Building, as part of the cultural program «October – Month of Music».
The performance, attended by the president of the Câmara Municipal de Pampilhosa da Serra, Jorge Custódio, and councilors João Neves and Nuno Almeida, began with the presentation of young musicians who recently joined the Youth Band. This moment symbolized the renewal and continuity of an institution that for several generations has made music an important vehicle for education, culture, and the appreciation of local roots.
Throughout the concert, the audience was invited to explore different musical styles and sounds, without losing sight of the sense of belonging to Portuguese culture. The GMFP once again established itself as a space for learning, sharing, and conviviality, where values such as responsibility, dynamism, and associative spirit are cultivated.
The final moment was reserved for the theme «Recordação da Pampilhosa» (Remembrance of Pampilhosa), performed with the entire musical family gathered on stage, in a particularly symbolic celebration of the bonds that unite the band with the community and the municipality's identity.
A night of music and emotion that once again demonstrated that the legacy of Fraternidade Pampilhosense is measured not only by the notes that echo, but also by the generations it brings together, the values it transmits, and the identity it helps to preserve.
