The initiative seeks to bring together different perspectives on the challenges associated with poverty, a complex and multidimensional phenomenon that is reflected not only in the deprivation of material resources but also in access to opportunities and essential services for full participation in society. Combating inequalities requires coordinated action among public entities, social organizations, and the community.
Local Government, through the Câmara Municipal de Góis, plays a relevant proximity role in social intervention, mobilizing services and resources to identify the specific needs of the population. This action is part of a broader effort involving Central and Regional Administration, academic institutions, and civil society.
By holding the Social Fair, the municipality aims to reinforce its commitment to the principle "No One Left Behind", inscribed in the Agenda 2030 of the United Nations, and to building a more inclusive, cohesive society that is attentive to everyone's needs.
