In the 2nd phase of the National Higher Education Access Competition (CNAES), the Coimbra School of Education (ESEC) filled 100% of its available places, reflecting high demand for its courses.
ESEC offered 104 places for this phase, to which were added 15 places freed up by candidates who were reallocated, totaling 119 newly admitted students. A total of 1054 candidates marked ESEC as one of their preferences.
The Educação Básica (Basic Education) course remains the most sought-after, with 165 candidates, followed by the Turismo (Tourism) course with 123 candidates.
The Arte e Design (Art and Design) course recorded the highest last-place admission score among all courses at ESEC and the Polytechnic University of Coimbra, with the last admitted student having a candidacy score of 169.0. For the Comunicação Social (Social Communication) course, with only 2 places and 111 candidates, the entry score was 152.0.
These results reinforce ESEC's position as a leading institution in its training areas, recognized for the quality of its teaching and its commitment to student success.
