The Penamacor Municipal Council, represented by its President and Vice-President, attended the ceremonies on September 29th that marked the 50th anniversary of the Air Force Training and Survival Centre (CTSFA) in Montijo.

The Penamacor Municipal Council, represented by President José Miguel Oliveira and Vice-President Pedro Silveiro, respectively, and the Penamacor Parish Council, represented by President António Salgueiro, were present on September 29th at the ceremonies marking the 50th anniversary of the Air Force Training and Survival Centre (CTSFA), held in Montijo.
The military ceremony was presided over by the Vice-Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Lieutenant General João Caldas.
The CTSFA provides training not only to Air Force personnel but also to members of other branches of the Armed Forces and militarized forces, as well as to military personnel from foreign armed forces.
The centre coordinates three geographical locations — Montijo, Troia, and Penamacor — through the different phases of instruction and operations that comprise its activity.
