The General Council of the Universidade da Beira Interior (UBI) approved, in a meeting on October 27, the start of the electoral process for the election of members to the Statutory Assembly, the body responsible for drafting the University's Statutes.

This deliberation marks the beginning of a crucial stage for UBI's institutional life, given the central role the Statutory Assembly will play in creating the document that will define the fundamental rules for the institution's organization and operation.
The start of the electoral process has been formalized through an Official Notice, now published, which includes the approved calendar for the different phases of the electoral procedure.
In the same meeting, the General Council also approved the Electoral Regulation, which defines the rules and procedures applicable to the election of the Statutory Assembly members. The document awaits publication in the 2nd series of the Diário da República.
