The distinctions were given to the Bolsa Vila Verde + Superior, which supports young people in accessing and attending higher education, and to the FIT – Vila Verde Youth Theatre Festival, an initiative that brings children and young people closer to the arts.
The Mayor of Vila Verde, Júlia Rodrigues Fernandes, highlighted that this double recognition signifies the acknowledgment of work in priority areas of municipal policies and serves as an incentive to continue investing in people and creating conditions for young people to achieve their life goals.
Both projects share the strategic vision of promoting equal opportunities and investing in education and culture as pillars of the municipality's sustainable development. The Bolsa Vila Verde + Superior aims to remove economic barriers to further studies, while FIT focuses on theatrical expression and cultural participation.
“"The development of a municipality is measured not only by significant investment in infrastructure but also by the opportunities it provides to people, the horizons it opens, and the future it helps to build."
The Municipality of Vila Verde intends to continue and strengthen these projects, expanding their impact. The commitment to supporting young people in higher education and enhancing FIT, involving more schools and families, are future objectives.
