The Municipality of Vieira do Minho promoted, between October 28 and 30, the 2026 Annual Games Tournament, bringing together around 390 users from the Community and Leisure Centers (CCL) and the Senior University in various modalities.

The initiative, part of the Vieira Ativa project, took place in three different locations within the municipality: the Casa de Lamas (October 28), the João Quintas Carneiro Pavilion in Rossas (October 29), and the Ribeira Cávado School Center Pavilion (October 30).
Participants tested their skill and team spirit in games such as Jogo do Cantinho, Jogo 4 em Linha, and Jogo da Sueca. The event gathered approximately 390 people, including participants and spectators, in an atmosphere of conviviality and animation.
Beyond the competitive aspect, the tournament's main purpose was to foster active aging, promote exchange among users of the various Community and Leisure Centers, and provide moments for sharing experiences, strengthening friendships and intergenerational coexistence.
With this edition, the Municipality of Vieira do Minho reaffirms the importance of promoting initiatives that value the senior population, encourage social participation, and contribute to a more active and engaged life.
