The Intermunicipal Community of Ave and the Intermunicipal Community of Cávado held a clarification session at the Laboratório da Paisagem in Guimarães regarding Notices NORTE2030-2026-14 and NORTE2030-2026-15. These notices are for the Ave and Cávado territories, respectively, and focus on supporting job creation and micro-entrepreneurship. The event gathered around 50 participants, mostly representatives from IPSS, other social economy entities, and micro and small businesses.
In the Ave territory, Notice NORTE2030-2026-14 has an indicative allocation of two million euros. The support, in the form of a non-reimbursable grant, can cover up to three jobs per operation, requiring a permanent, full-time contract. The co-financing of the total eligible cost is 75% in low-density territories and 65% in others.
Applications can be submitted to the Balcão dos Fundos until 6:00 PM on October 16th. The CIM do Ave acts as an intermediate body, with the NORTE 2030 Management Authority making the final decision on applications, based on a proposal from the CIM.
Guilherme Emílio, Executive First Secretary of the CIM do Ave, highlighted the role of social economy entities as value generators and their contribution to social cohesion and territorial competitiveness. He framed the notice within the objectives of the Integrated Strategy for Territorial Development of Ave for employment and entrepreneurship, alongside other initiatives such as the AVE GLOBAL project and the Ave + Competitivo project.
The opening session was chaired by Eduardo Manuel Leite, Vice-President of the Municipality of Guimarães, who emphasized the irreplaceable importance of the work of social economy entities and reinforced the municipality's support. Father José Antunes, President of UDIPSS Braga, noted the session's significance for effective support to these entities in the Ave and Cávado sub-regions. The technical presentation was delivered by representatives from SOL DO AVE and ATAHCA, followed by a Q&A session. The closing was handled by Isidro Araújo, Vice-President of ATAHCA, and Mafalda Cabral, Administrator of SOL DO AVE.
