On the eve of Halloween, the Padre Alves Vieira Municipal Library hosted a family yoga session, attended by over a dozen mothers and their children. The initiative aimed to combine reading and movement in a playful activity centered around the world of ghosts and mystery stories.
Bárbara Nogueira led the session, beginning with a full reading of the book Playful Ghosts, chosen specifically for the occasion. The story transported participants into the characters' universe, setting the stage for what followed.
After the reading, children and adults engaged in yoga poses and movements inspired by the book, bringing the narrative to life. The activity continued outdoors, where the facilitator proposed new exercises and fostered a moment of togetherness.
The session showcased a different way to engage with books, where reading intersects with physical expression, imagination, and well-being. With parents and children side-by-side, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the experience was shared collectively.
These monthly sessions are part of the Padre Alves Vieira Municipal Library's programming, aiming to spark a love for reading in the younger generation through creative proposals that also involve adults and strengthen family bonds.
