AGERE presented this Tuesday in Braga's Municipal Square a new set of equipment for urban cleaning and waste management operations in the municipality. The global investment exceeds 1.8 million euros, benefiting from an 85% community co-financing from the Norte 2030 program for the electric trucks.
The operational renewal includes the acquisition of 3 new electric collection trucks, 86 sweeping carts for replacement, 86 collectors, and 15 blowers. This plan aims to enhance response capacity, promote the transition to more sustainable fleets, and improve ergonomics, safety, and health conditions at work.
The official presentation ceremony was attended by the President of the Municipal Chamber of Braga, João Rodrigues, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of AGERE, João Granja, and Executive Administrators Alexandra Roeger and Jorge Silva.
João Rodrigues highlighted the continuous investment in the quality of public spaces and the working conditions of the teams. "Maintaining this level of demand requires continued investment, innovation, and equipping our teams with modern, efficient, and sustainable resources, while ensuring better working conditions," he stated.
João Granja emphasized the strategic alignment of the investment with AGERE's strategy to modernize operational means, incorporate sustainable solutions, and create conditions for quality and efficient services. "The renewal of equipment and the integration of new electric vehicles are concrete steps on this path," he affirmed.
Alexandra Roeger praised the human dimension and the involvement of the teams in selecting the solutions. "We made sure to involve employees in the evaluation and choice of new equipment, valuing their experience and on-the-ground knowledge. Ergonomics, functionality, and safety are not just equipment features: they translate into better conditions for those who perform demanding and essential work for Braga daily."
The investment consolidates a strategy where innovation, operational efficiency, sustainability, and valuing people go hand in hand with the continuous improvement of service quality provided to the community of Braga.
