The Rally 6 Cities North of Portugal, taking place from October 23 to 25 in the municipalities of Guimarães, Fafe, Felgueiras, Boticas, Ribeira de Pena, and Cabeceiras de Basto, was close to becoming the final round of this year's World Rally Championship (WRC).

The event, which has a confirmed presence in the ERC until 2028, prompted statements from mayor Parcídio Summavielle, who confirmed the ambition to organize a WRC event using stages from Northern Portugal. According to Summavielle, the region possesses all the necessary conditions for this, including financial and organizational capacity.
"No condition is lacking. We have the financial capacity, we have the capacity to present solutions in terms of stages, we have the organizational capacity," Parcídio Summavielle reaffirmed. However, the mayor and driver from Fafe emphasized respect for the organizing body ACP and the willingness to collaborate in building joint solutions.
