The Municipality of Barcelos, in partnership with the University of Cávado and Ave (UPCA) and the Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP), is organizing the Job Fair “Grow Your Skills Up” from October 12-14, at the Campus of UPCA and the Casa da Juventude.

Over the three days, the initiative aims to enhance employability and skill development, bringing together sessions with professionals, entities, and opportunities for connection with the business world. The program covers topics such as resume building, managing professional anxiety, and preparing for interviews and salary negotiations.
Afternoon sessions will address areas like investments, careers in the European Union, and the technology sector in Portugal. The event also includes Speed Interviews, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, for direct contact with potential employers.
At the Casa da Juventude, the first day will feature talks on critical thinking in the age of Artificial Intelligence, led by Juliana Araújo, and creating portfolios in Design, by Raquel Costa.
On October 13, the focus will be on support measures from the IEFP, with contributions from Florbela Figueiredo and Mary Belkys, and on transversal skills, guided by Juliana Araújo. The Exsad Gaming Association will also be present on the 13th and 14th.
The final day, October 14, starting at 10:30 AM, will include a session on the Portuguese Army. The fair is aimed at various professional profiles, with the goal of strengthening preparation for the job market and facilitating contact between participants and employers.
